Description of Training:
Training workshop on Transitional Justice and Human Rights after Armed Conflicts will take place in Istanbul, Turkey between November 30 and December 6, 2012. Participants of the training will represent different nationalities from the South Caucasus: Abkhazians, Armenians, Azeris, Georgians and Ossetians. Training workshop will be conducted by European experts.
All costs of transportation to and from the location of the training as well as accommodation, meals, training materials, and per diems will be covered by the organizers.
Training workshop is organized within the framework of the Project Sustainable Cooperation through Education and Networking implemented by Caucasian House – Georgia. Funding for the project is provided by the Black Sea Trust for Regional Cooperation and Robert Bosch Stiftung and Open Society Georgia Foundation.

Please, take into consideration that number of participants is limited. Therefore we would like to advise those aspiring to participate in the program, to apply on a timely manner before expiration of the deadline. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered for evaluation.
Profile of Participants:
Field of activity: Human rights, preferably, international mechanisms of human rights protection, ECHR, ICC, etc.
Working experience: training is designed for mid-career lawyers and human rights defenders with minimum working experience of three years in the field of human rights (property rights, IDP and refugee rights, restitution & reparations, human rights legislation) and international courts of human rights.
Education: Legal Studies
Language skills: good working command of Russian language. Knowledge of English language is highly desired.
