Call for applications: Sharaka Fellowship 2013

The Sharaka Steering Committee has launched a new Call for Applications for a position of Sharaka Fellow in the field of social sciences and humanities. The selected candidate will spend three months (September-November 2013) at the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI) in Rome, Italy. 

The fellowship programme is one of the activities envisaged by the Sharaka project aiming to establish closer links among European and GCC research and academic institutions.

Project Description

Sharaka is a two-year research project co-funded by the European Commission that aims to enhance understanding and cooperation between the European Union (EU) and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) by carrying out policy-oriented research as well as outreach and training activities. One key project objective is to establish closer links among EU and GCC research and academic institutions through an exchange programme involving PhD students and researchers from both regions.

Applications will be received until 28 July 2013 at the Sharaka’s email address.
