From November 4th to 9th Sapienza will host a series of events dedicated to research projects, training and mobility in the Mediterranean area. The week will open with a double meeting at the Faculty of Economics at Centro EuroSapienza, which hosts the meeting of the Directors of the European research centres EADI (European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes).
YCSD will take a part in this event.
On November 6th there will be a day of study in honour of Giuseppe Burgio, who recently passed away, "Beyond Boundaries", with the participation of academics from other European and Mediterranean Institutions.
From November 7th to 9th Sapienza will also host the UNICA GENERAL ASSEMBLY 2013 and the three sessions of the Rectors Seminar, "UNICA and the Southern Mediterranean: Sharing, Learning, Cooperating" that together with representatives of the South Mediterranean institutions that are close partners of UNICA universities, will provide a platform for exploring the collaboration opportunities between UNICA and Southern Mediterranean universities and will seek to foster Southern Mediterranean regional partnerships based on common goals.
Session I: Mobility & brain circulation: shifting to new paradigms and the Presentation of the Publication “Sapienza in the Mediterranean”, coordinated by Raimondo Cagiano de Azevedo, describing Sapienza's projects in the MEditerranean.

Session III: Academic Cooperation with the Southern Mediterranean: Opening up for Horizon 2020, Roundtable on Cooperation with the Southern Mediterranean in Higher Education and Research
The activities of the Euro-Mediterranean week will end on November 9th with the closing day, dedicated to the general assembly of Rete Unica, the international association which groups the universities of the capitals of Europe.
