Call for Applications: Social Leader Forum 2014: Social Innovations through Cross-Sector Cooperation

Kick-Off Meeting in Georgia, April 24 – 29, 2014
>    Challenges of cross-sector cooperation
>    Matching of the work visits teams and development of cross-sector and cross-border activities



Final Event in Turkey, September 24 – 28, 2014
>    Scaling of best-practice and sustainable growth
>    Instruments for successful cooperation with business companies
 
Work Visits
The work visits last at least 5 days between May and September 2014.
During this visit, the fellows will get acquainted with their respective local partners, thereby enabling further implementation of cooperation. The matching for the work visits will be done at the Kick-off meeting.
Guest Speakers
 
Who should apply
>    You are active in a civil society initiative and/or you work for the public sector/administration
>    You are active or interested in social innovation and cross-sector cooperation
>    You are able to conduct a work visit (between May and September) and attend the two meetings (Kick-off and Final)
>    You master English for oral and written communication on an advanced level



Costs
>    International travel costs, board and lodging for both meetings in Georgia and Turkey
>    International travel costs for the study visit
>    Lump sum allowance for board and lodging during the work visit
The costs will be reimbursed at the meetings.
A participation fee of 65 EUR is required (to be paid at the Kick-Off Meeting).
 
 
How to apply


All documents should be submitted in English!



The deadline for application is March 16, 2014. Skype-interviews will be conducted between March 17th - 21th. Short-listed candidates will be informed latest until March 24, 2014.



The participation in all activities (Kick-off Meeting in Georgia, Study Visit, Final Meeting in Turkey) is mandatory.

The Social Leader Forum fosters the professional exchange of expertise and innovative concepts, and interdisciplinary dialogue among actors of social change from civil-society initiatives and public sector institutions.
Together and from each other our fellows learn new instruments and discuss strategies for meeting social challenges and improve the impact of their activities. Between the two meetings, the fellows have the chance to conduct cross-border and cross-sector work visits together with other fellows.

>    Impact analysis of cross-sector cooperation
To combine theory and practice the participants will conduct a cross-sector and/or cross-border work visit as a guest or host. The aim is to get acquainted with the respective local partners, thereby enabling further implementation of cooperation.
The Kick-Off Meeting and the Final Event will be enriched by guest speakers who are outstanding experts in their field and pleased to share their knowledge and experience. Our network includes experts from different regional and international organizations (e.g. German Marshall Fund, Robert Bosch Stiftung foundation, BMW foundation, Ashoka, Centre for Social Investment, and more).
>    You live in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia (North Caucasus) or Turkey
The Social Leader Forum covers the following costs:
